Terms of service

Last updated August 2026

These terms govern use of Hazzard. By creating an account you agree to them on behalf of yourself and, where applicable, the organization you represent.

The service

Hazzard organizes hazard, risk, and planning data for public-sector organizations and consultants. The product is in active development; features may change. We will not silently remove your data.

Your content

You retain all rights to the documents and data you upload. You grant us the license needed to process and display them inside your workspace — nothing more. You are responsible for having the right to upload what you upload, including any sensitive infrastructure information your organization handles under its own policies.

Not professional advice

Hazzard organizes evidence and shows its provenance. It does not replace professional judgment, engineering analysis, or legal review, and its outputs are not certified deliverables. Decisions — and responsibility for them — remain with your organization. Registry data derives from OpenFEMA; no FEMA endorsement is implied.

Acceptable use

Don't attempt to access other organizations' data, probe or disrupt the service, or use it to violate the law. We may suspend accounts that do.

Warranty and liability

The service is provided "as is" during beta, without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
